Executive Briefing: What is Six Sigma?

Executive and Champion Training

A 2-day course in what execs and managers need to know to effectively select and manage Six Sigma projects, motivate and guide Black Belt project leaders, champion constructive change, and assure successful implementation with lasting impact.

Six Sigma Green Belt

A one-week course in Six Sigma basics that will teach attendees the fundamental concepts and tools of Six Sigma, and how to apply the Six Sigma DMAIC project management paradigm (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Graduates will be prepared to lead basic improvement projects in their companies, and to assist Black Belts and Master Black Belts with more advanced process improvement initiatives.

Design for Six Sigma Green Belt

This one week course teaches the basic concepts and tools of Design for Six Sigma, the leading discipline for designing new products, services, and processes to attain world class quality and profitability. Graduates will know how to apply the fundamental concepts and tools of DFSS, and how to apply the DMADV project management paradigm (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify). The course is presented in any of three orientations, according to client needs: DFSS for New Product/Service Introduction; DFSS for Transactional Process Design; or DFSS for Finance.

Six Sigma Black Belt

This four week course presents comprehensive training in basic and advanced concepts and tools of Six Sigma, and develops project leadership skills according to the DMAIC project management paradigm (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve Control). Graduates will be prepared to lead projects in manufacturing and transactional/business process improvement, using both the “hard” and “soft” tools of Six Sigma to drive their organizations toward Six Sigma quality.

Design for Six Sigma Black Belt

This four week course provides a comprehensive knowledge of basic and advanced techniques of Design for Six Sigma, the leading discipline for designing new products, services, and processes to attain world class quality and profitability. Attendees will learn how to manage design projects using the DMADV paradigm (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify), and will be prepared to lead development projects in both New Product/Service Introduction and Transactional/Business Process design contexts.

DFSS for Existing Six Sigma Black Belts—NEW!

This one-week course provides DMAIC Black Belts the opportunity to expand their skills into the Design for Six Sigma arena in an enjoyable and efficient training format. Attendees learn key DFSS concepts and tools, including: similarities and differences between the DMAIC and DMADV project paradigms; DFSS tools for interpreting the Voice of the Customer in new product/process/service design; how to define and implement CTQ (Critical to Quality) Flow-Down; techniques for assessing and minimizing the sensitivity of new designs to variability in delivery and usage; and additional techniques specific to their domains of interest. Attendees will be prepared to lead corporate design and development projects in New Product/Service Introduction, Transactional/Business Process Design, or Financial Systems Design contexts. This course is presented in any of three orientations, according to client needs: DFSS for New Product/Service Introduction; DFSS for Transactional Process Design; or DFSS for Finance.
